VA-Birders,
I saw a Rose-breasted Grosbeak for the first time in three weeks. It was with
several dozen Waxwings and scores of Robins, eating poison ivy berries. There
were also a good many Yellow-rumped Warblers, and both Kinglets, and a
Blue-headed Vireo.
At the feeders today were a pair of Purple Finches, a House Finch, 14 Siskins,
and 2 or 3 dozen Goldfinches.
A Red-tailed Hawk was perched along our road, and a Harrier was hunting the
fields earlier this evening.
