Did a circuit through Rockingham county. 52 Snipe seen at pond on Nazarene
Church Road past Spring Creek and an additional Snipe was seen at Green
Valley Auction Pond. The Snipe at the pond along Nazerene church road would
make for some excellent photos. Several were even in the backyard of nearby
rancher feeding on the lawn with the Robins. 19 Waterpipits at Green Valley
and 3 more at Leonards Pond. Sparrows were seen mainly at the area beyond
the lake at Hone Quarry which is where 2 of the Hermit Thrushes were spoted
as well. Only Raptor seen for the entire day was a single Osprey near Spring
Creek perhaps intent on checking out the trout farm nearby.
