Manythanks to Mike and Evelyn Shenk of Dayton for letting another birder into their homes to view the Selasphorus Hummer. Pics by Brenda Tekin tell the story, see below for link. Neat little fellow!

A big "Thank You" to Mike and Evelyn Shank for their hospitality during my
visit early Saturday morning to observe and photograph the Selasphorus
hummingbird.  The bird fed primarily from feeders but also fed on the
abundant blue salvia.  Because if was cold it was pretty active early
morning.

I think the hummer is an imm. male based on lack of green in tail feathers
R1-5 appeared bright rufous at base..  Bird was very hyperactive, typically
held tail up while hovering.  Voice:  Very vocal with "tic" on approach and
while actively feeding was easily heard.
