Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch - Tuesday, September 19, 2006 (4:03 p.m. EDST)

This is a preliminary report hot off the press.  I just got off the phone
with Gordy Adamski who is up at the site as official counter, and he reports
another decent day with over 1,000 Broad-wings and season's first Golden
Eagle.  Although there have been periods of threatening skies, he reports
blue with white wisps prevailing over Rockfish Gap.  An approaching cold
front may shake a few more birds our way by the weekend, just in time for
our 30th anniversary celebration "HOLIDAY FOR HAWKS."

Gordy will be posting the totals later today.
