Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch NEEDS YOU! Co-sponsored by the Augusta, Rockingham
and Monticello Bird Clubs, we are entering our 26th season of counting
migrating raptors held on the grounds of the Inn at Afton. Volunteer
counters are desperately needed to keep this hawk watch going. It is run on
a daily basis, weather permitting, from mid-August to end of November. A
training session for individuals who sign up as counters will be scheduled
the first Saturday in September to be held at the hawk watch site. To sign
up as a volunteer counter that will reserve your spot for the training
session, please contact Brenda Tekin (434) 977-4209 / brendatekin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
