A short, late Saturday afternoon walk along the Potomac River, south of the
Riverbend Park visitors' center, produced good numbers of waterfowl as
follows:
Pied Billed Grebe 1
Common Merganser 35
Bufflehead 80
Ringed-neck Duck 150 (I had counted 350 three days earlier)
Lesser Scaup 1
Canada Geese 100+
