Hello VA-Birders:
I walked around the meadow at Riverbend Park late this afternoon and was
surprised to see a Lincoln's Sparrow pop up from one of the wild rose bushes
along the northern edge of the field.
I saw only one other sparrow --a White-throated. As I made the loop around the
northwest corner of the meadow, a female Eastern Bluebird waited on the
overhead wires for me to pass by before flying into her box with a giant green
caterpillar.
