A nice wave of warblers showed up at the meadow at Riverbend Park (Fairfax
Cty) this morning about 8:30 AM. It had been quite quiet until then, other
than
for small flocks of Indigo Buntings, House Wrens, Red-eyed Vireos, and
Goldfinches. Warblers seen: Blue-winged, Parula, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia,
Black-throated Blue, Black-and-White, Redstart, and Waterthrush (sp). A
Blue-headed
Vireo and Gnatcatchers were also observed.
In late morning a Wilson's and a Blackburnian were among the nine warbler
species that appeared in my yard
