Amongst the hundred or so Canada Geese close the shoreline near Neabsco Rd.
(Woodbridge) this morning was a *little* Canada, just a bit more than half the
size of the Common, with a short bill. Cute!! When I first saw it, it was
swimming next to a Black Duck and I immediately saw that the goose wasn't much
longer than the duck. A neighbor came out to throw corn for the geese, so it
was
a real photo op with the Richardson's, except I was without camera. Single
birds of note were: drake Am. Black X Mallard hybrid, drake Redhead, Wilson's
Snipe, and Lesser Black-backed Gull (adult).
