It is my pleasure to give a brief summary of the KC results. The species
numbers are not final as some tally sheets are still being double checked-
but it should be close.

Wayward Loons - 67 (Special Venue - E. Shore of VA NWR)
I am still checking over statistics, but we added a few new species to the
KC cumulative list. I believe the following are new (a more detailed
discussion will be provided in the spring 2006 Coastal Flightlines which all
members and donors receive): Least Tern, Prothonotary Warbler, and Lark
Sparrow. Some interesting and unusual species sightings were King Rail,
American Golden Plover, Baird's Sandpiper, Gull-billed Tern, Barred Owl, and
Worm-eating Warbler.
On behalf of the CVWO, I wish to extend a special ACKNOWLEDGEDMENT and a
GRATEFUL THANK YOU to the team members that participated in this charity
event to fund migratory bird research and conservation on the Eastern Shore:
