I followed Sue Heath's directions to Remington, VA (Fauquier Co.) and found
some Horned Larks this morning. They were at the sod farm on Sumerduck Road.
The males were singing their airy, tinkling song, and were quite easy to
view from my warm car! It was a life bird for me, and well worth the trip,
although, I did not find any longspurs. There were also good numbers of
Eastern Meadowlarks and Song Sparrows. A few Killdeer were calling.
