The Red-necked Phalraope was seen again this morning at 0640 and was still
there when Larry Cartwright and Fred Bogar left the Park at 0845 this morning,
5/23/2003. The male Phalarope was in alternate plumage. It did not exhibit
the circular motions normally associated with the feeding behavior of this
bird.
The bird was thirty feet from inner circle of the boardwalk. Paula
Sullivan, Mary Floyd, Arlene Richman, and 5 others observed the bird.
Will Paula have a photograph for us? Perhaps, if her computer is repaired.
