This is belated report of a Red-necked Phalarope observed and photographed
Thursday, September 9 early evening at Leonard's Pond in Rockingham County.
I last saw it as it flew off with about 50 mixed flock of
shorebirds/sandpipers (Western, Least, Lesser Yellowleg, Solitary,
Semi-palmated, Killdeer) at 6:55 p.m. EDST.
