A Red-necked Grebe was seen this morning (3/16) in Washington County, VA
along the Tennessee border at South Holston Lake.
Virgil Car, Carolyn Coffey and Wallace Coffey found the bird
from Musick's Campground. It was earlier seen in the Tennessee portion of
the reservoir before it swam into Virginia.
A Horned Grebe in nearly full breeding colors was just offshore the
campground with others still in winter plumage.
