VA Birders:
After striking out on the Red-necked Phalarope at Huntley Meadows, I stopped
on my way home at Daingerfield Island south of National Airport along the
Potomac. There was a Red-necked Grebe in breeding plumage just off the sea
wall
in front of the restaurant. A cautionary note to listers - due to a quirk in
the law, some maps imply that these waters are part of the District of
Columbia.
