[va-bird] Red-necked Grebe, Manassas, 2/23/04

Around noon today at the Bull Run Plaza (Logan's Roadhouse, Chili's) along 
Rt. 234 just south of I-66, I was surprised to find a sleeping Red-necked Grebe 
amongst the handful of Hooded Mergansers. The bird woke up briefly, allowing 
me to see the big yellow bill to confirm the id. An Am. Coot has been here for 
almost two weeks now.
