Musick's Campground
South Holston Lake, VA/TN
At Musick's Campground a raft of about 300 birds was resting
just offshore in Washington County, Va : Yes! RED-NECKED
GREBE (1) was still there. American Wigeon 25, Gadwall 4,
Bufflehead 3, EARED GREBE 1, Pied-billed Grebe 2, Ring-billed
Gull 14, Herring Gull 2, Ring-necked Duck 260. Had DUNLIN 3
in Sullivan County, TN near the campground. This area has
Eared Grebes wintering here every year. There are six to seven
birds most of the time this winter but counts have been as high
as the 20s in other years.
