Not a Virginia bird, I concede, but I wanted to share some good bird news.
It seems that a warbler in Fiji which had been considered extinct is in fact
alive and well! Goofy warbler looks like a Carolina Wren. Note the bit in
the article about the locally high population densities in UNLOGGED forest.

The obligatory VA bird sightings: Just the usual Beltway red-tails on the
