As part of the Washington's Birthplace CBC on Dec 17th, we spotted a
RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH foraging in some mixed woods along the Rappahannock
River on the Wilna Tract of the Rapp R Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
Other nice birds included 4(+?) RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS, a fair number of
EASTERN PHOEBES, 3 WINTER WRENS, and a small flock of AMERICAN PIPIT.
