This morning I was pleased to hear, and then see, a Red-breasted Nuthatch in
the yard outside of the Abbey. There were also a good number of warblers,
including 3 good looking Nashvilles and 3 Cape Mays, a Common Yellowthroat,
and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
Afterwards I went walking in the woods and found several Black-thr. Green
Warblers, Swainson's and Wood Thrushes, and a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher. There
was a Flicker calling from a snag down by the stream.
Later, between 3 and 4 pm I saw an adult Bald Eagle and 39 Broad-winged Hawks
fly over.
