On Wednesday morning as I was leaving La Madeline's in Tysons, a Red-Tailed
landed on the lamp post above my car. For once I had the bins available and
got a good look at the back and tail. This is a fairly light bird with a very
buffy chest.
This morning, I saw it perched on the Lord and Taylor parking garage surrounded
by 10 - 15 crows who chased it away.
Also had a yellow-crowned kinglet display itself within eyesight on the Glade
path in Reston yesterday morning. It seemed to be as curious about me as I was
about it.
