I can also add that we had found 5 Red necked Grebes at the sewage plant in
Centreville today. Actually even had all 5 in one scope field at once.
And, thanks to Laura's comment, we found the 3 Redheads in the pond behind
the Circuit City off RT 234 in Manassas still today.
A trip down to Nokesville failed to produce Lapland Longspurs or Brewer's
Blackbirds but we did find several Horned Larks on Grassland Rd. Many were
also in full song, spring is in the air!
Also here we spent time watching a female Kestrel diving a mature Cooper's
Hawk after the Coops landing on a telephone pole in the Kestrel's territory.
