Yesterday (3/26), prior to running into Paula Sullivan and Sharon Lynn at
Leesylvania, I stopped at Neabsco Creek and found a single FORSTER'S TERN;
also on the mud flats were the usual Black Ducks and Mallards, plus about
30 Green-winged Teal. Gulls were nearly non-existent.
Today, Spring arrived at my house~! LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH came
in last night after a year's hiatus. A very welcome sound and sight. Missed
the little fellow all last season. Also new to my yard CHIPPING SPARROW
(3/25). And, finally, I believe the FOX SPARROWS have departed. I've
been hosting them most of the winter, and mostly off and on, and the
last two seem to have departed last night. Will miss their neat song.
