Monday I enjoyed the first large flock of yellow-rumps, many of them bathing
in one of the small streams, along with a blue headed vireo. Interestingly,
this vireo used a very different bathing technique: instead of getting down in
a shallow pool and shaking all about, it did the slam and bounce technique I
observed of hummers in Belize this winter.
New birds were a singing catbird and singing woodthrush.
This morning, I heard my first great crested flycatcher and white-eyed vireo.
