Gentle Readers,
Mary Floyd and Sy Fishbein led a group of fifteen birders this morning, Monday,
091304, at Huntley Meadows Park. It was a warm, clear day with calm winds.
Kurt Gaskill has sent his field notes for inclusion in this report. The
highlight of the morning was the three raptors seen in the Park, a sign of
Fall. Large flocks of Red-winged Blackbirds have made their reappearance after
their summer hiatus; this, too, is a sign of Fall.
