Hi all,
I am driving up from Durham to Washington tomorrow, and I'd like
to try for both the Brant at Mason Neck and the Red-necked Grebe
at Burke Lake - is Burke Lake the one for which I've seen signs off
of the Fairfax County Parkway? Mason Neck is somewhere near
the outlet of the Occoquan, no? If anyone would be so kind as to
send me some basic directions for these two birds, I'd be most
grateful. I'm not familiar with either of these two spots, although I've
seen them mentioned many times.
