This spring, many of you generously helped out this newbie's request for
information about the best places to find warblers during the spring
migration. I was able to get to (almost) all of the places you suggested and
had what was -- by my standards, at least -- a very productive and enjoyable
spring.
Now that there seem to be some posts about early fall migrants, I'd like to
ask the same question about the return trip: are there any Northern
Virginia/DC-area spots that are particularly good during the fall? If
someplace is good in the spring does it necessarily follow that it will be
good in the fall also? And what would be considered the "peak" season?

can see your responses being valuable on-list as well. (I can't be the only
newcomer who follows this list.)
