Well, I'm glad I didn't blow it off as a stick. F RB MERG was floating in the
mouth of the Little Gut, preening and flapping. I watched her for a while,
and then went elsewhere. Thought she had flown, but saw her again as I was
leaving.
Aside from the resident PARULAS, YELLOW & YELLOWTHROATS, I managed to find 1
YELLOWSTART, 1 WILSONS, 1 MAGNOLIA and about 1 billion BLACKPOLLS. (OK, maybe
1/2 a billion). There were 2 SCARLET TANAGERS today and a small flock of CEDAR
WAXWINGS (12) was chowing down on Mulberries near the picnic area restrooms.
PILEATED WP was heard along Haul Rd as well.
