I am editing a book on shorebirds at Chincoteague and, to my surprise, can
find to no reference to reports of Purple Sandpipers there (or in Accomack
County!) in the literature. Surely, the species has been recorded there or
nearby.
Does anyone have recollection of Purples there? Or, better still, date,
number, location, etc.? Assistance with records will be much appreciated and
acknowledged in the final ms.!
