I reported seeing TN Warblers at NY Monuments last Sunday, which was more
than likely incorrect. The fact that no one else has reported seeing them
made me start to wonder. So I looked at the VA bluebook and the early date
is 30 August. Upon further reflection and study they were more than likely
Pine Warblers. Live and learn.

Phil,
I can't speak for the rest of VA, but last year I had TN Warblers in my yard
here in Buchanan County on 5 dates before August 30.
8/24/03  1bird
8/25/03  3 birds
8/26/03  3 birds
8/27/03  1 bird
8/29/03  6 birds

By 9/6/03 I had 38 birds. I can't say positively that I have seen any yet this
year, though I did get a brief look at one bird that could have been. So it
isn't impossible that you saw TN Warblers.
