[va-bird] Prince Wm Co - 23 Warblers, Blackburnian Warbler, Sora, Bobolink

Hello Everyone,

Today I visited Rte 619 at the edge of Prince Wm Forest Park, then Julie
Metz Wetlands, followed by Possum Point, then to the Nokesville area. I
managed 23 species of warblers and 10 species of sparrow, and 117 total
species by 1:30 PM - beaten by Marc. :-)

I missed the Chuck-Will's-Widow on 619 but heard a WHIP-POOR-WILL near the
VFW building (actually in someone's backyard!). Later at Julie Metz, a SORA
was vocalizing right along the road near the entrance road of Leesylvania
SP.

Possum Point yielded 94 species for me between 6:15 and 8:45 AM. Warblers
noted include WILSON'S, BLUE-WINGED, NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH, TENNESSEE,
NASHVILLE (heard only & debated), and CHAT.

Later on private property in Nokesville, we added a gorgeous male
BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, GREEN HERON, NORTHERN HARRIER, RUBY-THROATED
HUMMINGBIRD, BALTIMORE ORIOLE, and three extremely cooperative BLACK-BILLED
CUCKOOS stuffing themselves with tent catterpillars.

Elsewhere in Nokesville, other interesting birds were about. Hazelwood
Drive had two GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS. Parkgate Rd held two BOBOLINKS, more
Grasshopper Sparrows, a singing WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, and a SAVANNAH
SPARROW.
