The kites continued today. There are two that are around frequently. A third
comes and goes. Today my neighbor said she saw a fourth, but I can't confirm.
I've had many requests for directions. I don't mind giving directions but
would like to do so via my email.
When you request directions please let me know the following:
-Why you are coming to see the birds? New lifebird, state bird, just want to
see them, photo, scope, etc. I'm not trying to be difficult, but I'm running
interference for my neighbors (where the birds are) who are very friendly, but
not birders.
-What is your starting point? I live in central PW County and there are four
ways to get to my house depending on your starting point.
If I'm around, I'll be glad to take you into the neighbor's yard to see the
nest. If you see them out in the yard feel free to ask and they'll happily
oblige. I don't recommend going to their door and asking.
As always, please be respectful. I know most birders are, and as a rule we're
a fairly harmless lot.
