Hi everyone,
Don't know how I missed all the "sight-seers" at Logan's pond today, but I
did;
but I didn't miss the RN Grebe. A honey of a bird. Also saw most of the
previously mentioned birds in/around the pond. A neat little spot. Thanks,
Laura.
Prior to my stop at Logan's I was at the PW County Landfill. George Wheaton
arrived shortly after I did and we searched for the "good gulls" amon what
must
have been 15,000 birds. Mostly Ring-bills with lots of Herring and some
Great Black Backs. Also, some opf the "missing" Lesser Black Backs have
been re-located. I would say we saw 5 or 6 minimum. However, we saw
NO Glaucous, California, Thayer's or Iceland. Not for a lack of trying, but
all
those birds were "a bit over the top!" Maybe next time, or maybe at Neabsco
Creek --
