VA-birders....
In recent months, I have been making inquiries to identify a new owner
for the VA-bird listserve. However, no one has stepped up to assume this
position. So now, I am requesting that anyone who has an interest please
send me a note off-line. Please do not nominate other people... just
yourself.
Since founding the VA-bird listserve in September, 1999, I have
thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue that we have all had about the birds of
Virginia. I truly believe that the listserve has provided an opportunity
for everyone to learn more about birds in general and about the birds of
Virginia specifically. And now, it is time for someone else to provide
the direction for where the list will go.
It has been my pleasure meeting so many conservationists, ornithologists,
birders, seasoned veterans, and novices, through this internet tool. For
all who have participated by posting their observations, I thank you on
behalf of all of the rest of us who have learned from your notes.
As soon as a new owner has been identified, I will post a note to the
listserve.
