I took a canoe up Pohick Creek on Friday morning starting from the Pohick
Regional Park. I had lots of usuals with a few birds that I don't think I've
ever seen there before (the first 3).
Highlights were:
Red Headed Woodpecker
Kestral
Harrier - juv - flying low across the marsh, then up, up and away over the
trees
Spotted Sandpiper 2
Scarlet Tanager - yellow
Redstart - yellow
Palm Warbler - 3 (not yellow) (Western)
King Fisher 2
Pilleated 4-5
