I hiked the forest road south of the horse trailer parking lot on Beach Road
this morning, for the first time since last fall. The forest road has been
cleared of all the downed trees from Hurricane Isabel, and there seem to be
more
Towhees and Prairie Warblers than in previous years. Highlights were great
looks at Yellow-billed Cuckoo and Hooded Warbler, and a rather ragged looking
Pine Warbler feeding a youngster.
