Pete Dunne, director of Cape May Bird Observatory, and author of numerous
articles appearing in birding magazines and the New York Times, presents
Small Headed Fly Catcher. Seen Yesterday. He Didn't Leave His Name. Dunne
will sign copies of his most recent book, Pete Dunne on Bird Watching,
before his presentation.
To welcome migratory birds back to the Mid Atlantic region and kick off the
Zoo's Migratory Bird Days, Dunne explores the story of conflict and rivalry
over the discovery of a bird claimed by two giants of ornithology:
Alexander Wilson, the father of ornithology in the U.S., and John James
Audubon.
