As of about an hour ago (1 pm on Firday) the 2 Am. White Pelicans were still
in the waters off of Hunting Creek, just north of the Belle Haven Marina.
I saw them from the parking lot farthest north from the marina. (the same
parking lot for Dyke Marsh, but at the opposite end) From this location, you
only have to walk about 50 yards from your car to the river so it's very easy
and convenient in the rain. The birds were still in VA waters, flying and
feeding.
Also seen were a good variety and good numbers of ducks.
