In the course of participating in the Fort Belvoir CBC today, I came across a
partial albino House Finch. It was part of a group of approximately 100 House
Finches, which group seems to be a regular winter event where Danbury Forest
Road crosses a power line (Fairfax County).
The bird in question appeared to be a male, with all the parts that would
normally be red being pure white, while the browner bits (including
streaking) appeared about normal, perhaps a little paler.
I have not seen this plumage before.
