The large birds nesting on the bridge are OSPREY, and are a highlight of my
DC commute. They are sometimes in the company of a PEREGRINE FALCON
roosting on the bridge.

Subject: [va-bird] Pair of Birds Nesting on Amtrak Bridge
Date: Tue, 25 May 2004 07:35:46 -0700 (PDT)
Good Morning.
There is a bird pair that nests on the top of the Amtrak Bridge connecting
Arlington, VA to Washington, DC. They look pretty large. They have
dark/grey feathers all over except for the chest and head, which appears to
be white/light.
Does anyone know what type of bird it is?
Thank You.
