From an e-mail from Northern Virginia Conservation Trust:

**On Saturday, February 3rd from 12-3pm:

We'll be working on a property in Alexandria that is contiguous with
Monticello Park, one of the nation's top 30 birding sites according to the
Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology!  Migratory birds depend on a long chain
of high-quality "stopover" points along their journeys, and those places are
shrinking and disappearing every year.  Those that do still exist are
threatened by invasives such as English Ivy, which crowd out native plants
that migrants depend on for survival.  Help wildlife survive--come pull
English Ivy!

For more information including directions to all these sites, contact
Whitney Bailey, NVCT's Director of Stewardship & Adventures in Conservation,
at 703-354-5093 or wbailey@xxxxxxxx.
