Howdy all,
Tonight, while relaxing after banding for a little while, Josh Nemeth and I saw
an Olive-sided Flycatcher from our residence on the Eastern Shore of Virginia
National Wildlife Refuge. The bird stayed for about five minutes atop a tree
giving great views, before finally flying of to the north.
We also had three Snow Geese fly over heading north as well.
Lots of Kestrels hunting around the house, while a Sharp-shinned harassed a
Chuck-will's-widow.
A few Nighhawks danced by as 25+ Green Herons moved passed.
Quite the enjoyable afternoon.
Cheers,
Jethro Runco
