Yesterday, 2/10, I saw one LTDU (drake) near the Isle of Wight side of the James River Bridge (Rt. 17). Scarce around these parts - only the 2nd one I've seen in the lower James River & tributaries in all the years I've lived here. There was also a drake C. Goldeneye walking on the beach at Huntington Park, Newport News, which is at the opposite end of the JRB. Beautiful bird. Les Willis Suffolk, VA leswillis@xxxxxxxxxxxx You are subscribed to VA-BIRD.
