Went down to Occoquan after the Dyke Marsh walk today...unfortunately my cell
phone had died so I was not able to hear about the Western Grebe and did not
go to the marina.
However, I did see a PEREGRINE FALCON perched on the RR Trestle over the Occ.
River, just east of Rt.1.
At Occ. NWR, adding to the waterfowl selection previously seen/posted in that
area, I spied one imm. COMMON GOLDENEYE diving off Deephole Point w. two F.
BUFFLEHEAD. Also had a flock of TURKEY (maybe 24) off of the road leading from
the parking lot to Deephole point...
