Here is the banding report for this past week. Some very nice birds,
although they choose not to show up for the
TV cameras. Not too much else on the nature front, except for the presence
of some very brazen bunny rabbits who
are hanging out near the station. Also several mud turtles have been
walking the net lanes. Joanna

I was concerned by Wednesdays quiet, and thought migration had finished.
But Saturday and Sunday pulled us out of the slump with a halfway decent
number of birds, and more than halfway decent variety. Wednesday was TV day
and although our premiering Yellow-billed Cuckoo was a couple hours early
for debut, we were very lucky that a Brown Thrasher and, within a minute
thereafter, a Common Grackle flew into net 8A as all of us were standing
there talking to Channel 7.
