Hello VA-Birders,
The Central PA Birdline just reported that two people observed the Lapwing
today along Graceham Road in Maryland. Below is the pasted excerpt:
"The NORTHERN LAPWING has returned on March 2 to the spot it was seen in
February, along Graceham Road just north of Creagerstown (DG, BK). A map
showing the locations where the bird was originally seen is at the bottom of
the following web page that also includes photographs of the bird (the area
is about 9 miles south of the PA border and can be found on the Pennsylvania
DeLorme Gazetteer on page 91 D5/6):
http://www.mdbirds.org/birds/gallery/lapwing.html
Birders in Adams and Franklin Counties that are immediately north of this
area should watch and see if the bird shows up in Pennsylvania."
Strangely I did not see any mention of this on MarylandOsprey. Did I miss it?
Good Luck if it is true!
