I also saw the female Northern Bobwhite at Dyke Marsh on Tuesday, August
19, in the late morning. She was on the edge of the boardwalk with her
profile to me, but as I was trying to get a picture, she turned her back
to me and walked along the ledge before hopping down into the underbrush.
I did get one snapshot of her from the back. The sighting took place
about halfway between where the boardwalk forks (to a stub) and where it
makes a sharp left to the end.
