[va-bird] North Mt Raptors/Frederick Co

We conducted a mini Hawk Watch today from the powerline bluff on North Mt. We
were only there from 1:45-3:30; despite the SW wind and heavy haze, a good
number of birds were still migrating. Most were hugging the East edge of the
ridge, so we got close looks at many of them.
Best bird by far was an immature GOLDEN EAGLE. Since we were on top of the
cliff, the bird was below us most of the time, and roughly 50 yards away. As
I've never seen one from that angle & range, the view was simply AWESOME!

The days list:

Bald Eagle - 2 (1 adult;1 3rd year)
Sharp-shinned - 1
Red-shouldered - 2
Red-tailed - 22
Golden Eagle - 1
Kestrel - 2
Raven - 5

We also found a good number of GC Kinglets along with a few Ruby Crowned.
Lady Bugs (or whatever they're called) galore!! I've personally never seen such
a variety of different colors amongst them.
