Went to Tysons to check the nighthawks both Sun. and Mon nights. There were
birds flying around in the lights both nights. They were lower on Monday,as
I got there earlier. IF YOU WANT TO GO SEE THEM: THE LIGHTs COME ON AT
ABOUT 8:30 AND GO OFF AT ABOUT 10 P.M.; so that is the window of opportunity
to see them. They showed up last night about seven minutes after the lights
went on. There were about 20, or so, birds when I left at 9;15.
Also went to the Luther Jackson school on gallows Rd. to check on the
swifts. They were there,but only about 100 or so of them.
