Hi all,
Sonia Santa Anna, Leni Freidman and friends, and I watched about 20 Common
Nighthawks above the "pyramids" (Boone Blvd. and Gallows Rd. in Vienna) last
night. When Sonia and I arrived at 8:15, there were just two. By 9 PM, twenty
were gliding and swooping in the bright beams of light. When we left at 9:30 or
so, they were quite high, looking more like sparkling stars above the
